Common Questions

Maine Coons are one of the largest domestic cat breeds and can take up to 3-5 years to fully mature. In our lines, males commonly grow between 20-30 pounds, while females are typically smaller. Every cat is different depending on genetics, diet, activity level, and overall structure.

How big do Maine Coons get?

Yes! Maine Coons are known for their gentle, social, and playful personalities. Our kittens are raised inside our home around daily household activity and children, helping them become well-socialized and confident companions.

Are Maine Coons good with children?

Our kittens are raised around a small dog and are introduced to normal household sounds and routines from an early age. While we do not own large dogs ourselves, early socialization helps kittens adjust more easily to respectful dogs and other pets.

Are your kittens good with dogs and other animals?

Yes. Our kittens receive age-appropriate core vaccinations before going home along with routine deworming, fecal testing, and a full health exam by our veterinarian.

Do your kittens come vaccinated?

Are your kittens genetically tested?

Our adult cats are genetically tested through Wisdom Panel, and all kittens are individually tested for FeLV/FIV before leaving for their new families.

Do your kittens come with a health guarantee?

Yes. We provide a genetic health guarantee along with veterinary records and health documentation for your kitten.

Go-home timing depends on the kitten’s development and recovery from spay/neuter. Most kittens leave between 10-16 weeks depending on the situation and veterinary scheduling.

When can kittens go home?

Are your kittens spayed or neutered before leaving?

Yes. Pet kittens are typically spayed or neutered before going home unless otherwise discussed.

Yes! We love allowing families to meet the kittens and parents when possible. If distance is an issue, we also offer FaceTime/video calls.

Can we visit the kittens?

How do deposits work?

Once families choose their kitten, a non-refundable deposit is required to hold them. Deposits go toward the final balance of the kitten.

Yes. Families can pick up in person, meet us locally, or arrange delivery options. We also offer flight delivery from Appleton, Wisconsin (ATW) or can work with trusted pet transporters.

Do you offer delivery?

Maine Coons are often described as “dog-like” cats. They tend to be very social, intelligent, playful, and involved in everyday life. Many follow their people from room to room and enjoy being part of the family.

What are Maine Coons like personality-wise?

Yes. Maine Coons have long, thick coats that require regular brushing to help prevent tangles and matting. We begin handling, grooming, and bathing exposure early so kittens are more comfortable with grooming routines.

Do Maine Coons require grooming?

No cat is truly hypoallergenic, including Maine Coons. However, some families report fewer reactions depending on the individual cat and the person’s allergies.

Are Maine Coons hypoallergenic?

Responsible breeding involves significant time, care, and expense including high-quality nutrition, genetic testing, veterinary care, vaccinations, socialization, supplies, and raising kittens inside the home as part of the family.

Why do Maine Coons cost more than some other cats?

Not always. Some litters may already have families waiting, and occasionally we keep certain kittens for our future breeding program. We recommend following our social media for updates on current and upcoming litters.

Do you always have kittens available?

We recommend starting your kitten in a smaller quiet space with easy access to food, water, and a litter box while they adjust. New environments can be overwhelming at first, so giving them time to settle in helps create a smoother transition.

What should we do when bringing our kitten home?

We are a family-run in-home cattery focused on raising social, loved, and well-handled kittens. Our goal is not only beautiful Maine Coons, but healthy, confident companions that are raised with daily interaction, care, and transparency from birth until go-home day.
